Kevin Albers, Executive Director, M'Akola Group of Societies
Kevin is a key player in the future of affordable housing and is well-known for leading with innovative ideas and creative solutions through strategic partnerships. Kevin is the CEO of the M’akola Group, the largest Indigenous affordable housing provider and developer in BC. Kevin has worked with many Indigenous Communities to create on and off reserve homes including assisted living for Elders, and seniors.
Kevin leads a development team building over 2500 housing units in the Province through various partnerships with First Nations, Federal, Provincial, and Municipal governments while also guiding and directing the operation of over 1,600 units of Indigenous affordable housing in various locations throughout most of BC which provide housing to over 5,000 British Columbians.
Kevin is the vice-chair and president elect for both BC Non-Profit Housing Association and Canada Housing and Renewal Association. Kevin is a Chartered Professional Accountant and received the British Columbia Community Achievement Award in 2018.
