Debbie Stewart, Vice President, Affordable Housing Client Solutions Management, CMHC
Debbie Stewart has been instrumental in shaping and delivering our country’s first National Housing Strategy (NHS). As Vice President, Affordable Housing Client Solutions Management, she is dedicated to fulfilling CMHC’s mission of delivering integrated housing solutions to help Canadians meet their housing needs.
Debbie leads a team responsible for building key relationships across the housing and government spectrum, and working with partners to develop housing finance, capacity, and partnership solutions to build and sustain the next generation of affordable housing. All with the goal of ensuring more Canadians have access to housing that meets their needs and that they can afford.
Debbie’s 15-year career at CMHC includes roles of progressive responsibility in Human Resources, Strategic Planning, and Housing Needs; she joined the Affordable Housing team in 2018. Prior to joining CMHC, Debbie worked as a corporate finance analyst with Whalen, Beliveau and Associates Inc. Debbie has a Masters in Psychology from Carleton University, as well as a Bachelor in Psychology (Honours) from the University of Ottawa
