2021 Home Program Community grant is now available

We are pleased to announce the 2021 Home Program Community grant is now available.

Applications are being accepted between March 8 and April 5, 2021.

You can find more information about the Home Program, including the grant application form and guidelines on the program website here.

Funded by The City of Calgary, the Home Program provides grants up to $25,000 for new seed projects that increase housing stability and successful tenancies for affordable housing residents or Calgarians in core housing need. Non-profit organizations and non-market housing providers are eligible for this fund.

The Home Program supports projects that increase housing stability and successful tenancies in four priority areas:

  • Education and skill building

  • Financial empowerment

  • Community inclusion and integration

  • COVID-19 response

Please note: In 2021, The Home Program will expand investment beyond the Community Grant Program to also include Sustainability Initiatives and Partnership Initiatives:

  • Sustainability Initiatives: Projects that received Home Program seed funding in the past and need limited support to achieve project sustainability.

  • Partnership Initiatives: Transformative projects that have the potential for lasting systems change and will also support Calgarians in maintaining their housing in 2021. Please contact the Home Program if your organization wishes to discuss a Partnership Initiative project idea.
